Marc Thompson is the Chief Executive Officer at ICIMS, the leading enterprise talent acquisition platform. He joined ICIMS in September 2024 as Chief Financial Officer of ICIMS to oversee the company’s financial strategy and operations and ensure the organization was well-positioned to support global growth while continuing to deliver innovation and long-term value for customers.
Since joining in 2024, Thompson has supported a sweeping transformation of the company, modernizing its vision, accelerating its AI roadmap and repositioning ICIMS as the definitive platform for exceptional hiring. Drawing on deep expertise as a builder and scaler of enterprise software, he has helped to guide ICIMS through one of the most consequential shifts in the talent acquisition industry, ensuring the company is not just keeping pace with the AI revolution but leading it.
Thompson has more than 30 years of operational experience across the software, technology and financial services industries, with a track record of executing strategies to support sustainable, long-term growth. Prior to ICIMS, Thompson served as CFO at EverCommerce, where he managed through eight years of rapid growth and drove the company’s capitalization strategy, leading to a successful IPO. Before that, he served as Co-Head of Investment Banking at Oppenheimer & Co., founding the Software & Services team that executed more than 120 financing and M&A transactions valued at more than $15 billion. Based in Boston, Thompson holds a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College.
